Coming soon: Nutrition and Skin care
We tried our hand at selling several times in the past and learned a LOT. One of my jokes is: "I'm good at marketing, but NOT sales!"
Sales companies usually have cutting edge, new technology products so they can offer some level of exclusivity, which means you'll learn about the latest, greatest product research. Most sales companies offer nutrition or skin products AND they provide training that is either free or pretty cost effective.
Even if we weren't good at sales, we learned an awful lot at the trainings. There's a lot of generic training in business planning, personal development, goal setting, problem solving, and tax planning just to name a few valuable topics.
We also got to spend time with and learn from some of the top researchers and product formulators.
PS We learned a LOT about business success, personal development and financial stewardship, so you'll more of those lessons in the Business Box and Secret Sauce pages.
Our favorite product formulator is Dr. Earl Mindell, who wrote the most popular nutrition book in history, "The Vitamin Bible". It's been translated into at least 27 languages. Dr. Mindell was instrumental in bringing several (now common) supplements to the marketplace, including Ginkgo Biloba, Grapeseed extract and MSM. I bought my copy of the Vitamin Bible in 1981, and have read several of his books.
Dr. Mindell taught us that it's very difficult to get all the key nutrients from just the foods we eat. And, since Dr. Mindell published his first edition in 1979, modern corporate food production has become more about price instead of quality. There are several lifestyle factors that make it difficult for people to find and absorb the nutrients necessary to live a life filled with vitality. Please so some of your own research.
While our diet has improved over the years, we still take several supplements.
Additionally, after working with several holistic health practitioners, I believe many people could benefit from certain "specialty" supplements to help solve some of the unique health issues most of us face. You might search for a Naturopath or Functional Medicine practitioner in your area.
If you're not currently studying holistic nutrition, we encourage you to get some books, do some internet research and find natural solutions to your health concerns.

We were also very fortunate to meet Linda Chae, who began researching plant based, toxin free personal care products in about 1970. Linda was one of the early pioneers in researching healthy personal care ingredients and products.
Linda used to say, "I don't want to be the only one offering toxin free personal care products, I want to educate consumers so they ASK for these healthy products."
What does that really mean? Before Linda Chae, you rarely saw plant based, low toxin personal care products because consumers didn't know what to look for!
Even if there's a plant based toxin free product on the store shelf, if people don't know how to "read the labels" they won't buy the healthy product.
The personal care industry is "self regulating" so it's really "Buyer Beware". You'll want to do your own research and find better products.
Linda Chae - Linda was a real pioneer. She'll have the safest products.

"Pretty good" brands you can get locally or online:
These are brands that are much better than what was available when Linda Chae started her mission in the 1970s. Linda's research and marketing created enough "knowledgeable" consumers, which inspired several companies to make safer products.
You should be able to find these in your local grocery store.
Avalon, Jason, Acure, Desert Essence
During our several attempts at sales we learned a lot about supplements and toxin free personal care products. We believe this lifestyle change has really helped us have more healthy and productive lives.
We want to share our experience with you in order for you feel and look (and BE) more healthy.
If you don't already make a regular study of natural health through emails, podcasts and information/video subscriptions, please make time for that education. There's a lot you can learn listening to a podcast during daily chores or commuting to work.
A little learning every day can really add up!
